Crafting with Friends

This summer, me and three of my friends made plans to get together this fall and have an art day once a month. Okay, so unfortunately, we ended up only getting together twice, but we had a great time.

I love Things With Wings, so we decided to use their art as our inspiration and make some cute scrap collages for our homes. I love how each friend made their collage their own; each is so unique and creative. We used canvas boards, decoupage glue, acrylic paints, and scrapbook papers. We just printed our words off the computer.

Do any of you crafters out there get together with your friends and create? I'd love to hear your stories and ideas for crafting with friends!

Shopping for Christmas? Give Mercy

Have you started your Christmas list?
Or are you one of those "plan-a-headers" that has already started shopping?

What if I told you could find unique and hand made gifts for those on your Christmas list and 100% of the money you paid to purchase them went to help someone in need?

And what if you never even had to leave your home to buy them?

For me, Christmas is a time of giving in remembrance of the One who gave the ultimate gift for ME. . . and for YOU. It's a time to give generously to those in need. To show Christ's love by giving of our time and resources. I love to give gifts, but I really love the idea of giving a gift that really means something.

One of my favorite "heavenly" blogs that I follow is We Are That Family. If you've never been there, you need to check it out (click above). Learn about The Mercy House and you can give more than a gift when you give for Christmas this year.

Do your shopping for Christmas this year at The Mercy House Etsy Shop and 100% of money paid for items will benefit The Mercy House.
You can click the box below and it will take you there.

I will be donating an art piece each month to the Mercy Shop Etsy Shop.

December's piece is a mixed media original that wishes all a Merry Christmas. It's painted in acrylic on a hand-textured 8 x 8 inch canvas board. It's accented with painted papers, fun wording, sparkle paint and buttons. I've given it an aged look and sealed it with a protective finish. A cute ribbon hanger is attached. The back is covered, signed and marked especially for The Mercy Shop.

You can purchase this here and 100% of your purchase will go toward The Mercy House

There are so many other wonderful items, like jewelry, baby items, etc. All hand made with love to benefit The Mercy House.

Happy Shopping!
